Getting to Ngee Ann Kongsi Auditorium
There are multiple “Ngee Ann Kongsi Auditorium” within Singapore. It is important to notify your guests of the exact event location and address. They can be confusing, especially with the one located in NUS sharing a very similar road name.

Ngee Ann Kongsi Auditorium Nearest Car Park
The Academia building does not have its own car park, and the surrounding car parks are reserved for staff only. The nearest car park is Car Park H and about 10 mins walk from the Academia building.

The loading bay entrance for Academia allow access to the basement loading bay. The loading bay has a height limit of 3.5m.

The auditorium has 2 level of seating, and access to the second level is via lift or staircase outside the auditorium.
The AV control room for the auditorium is located at the second level. There is very limited space within the auditorium for placement of a live streaming station. Something to take note if you are expecting a large scale live streaming setup.
Internet Speed & Bandwidth at Ngee Ann Kongsi Auditorium (Academia)
Internet connection via LAN cable is not available in the auditorium. The venue can only provide Internet access via Wi-Fi. The Internet speed will average about 100mbps.
While live streaming to Zoom will be fine for the most parts. You may expect dropped frames when streaming to RTMP destinations when using Wi-Fi.
Wireless@SGx is available within the auditorium, and the bandwidth will average about 20mbps. Which is below the recommended bandwidth required for reliable live streaming.
4G Internet At NAK Auditorium (Academia)
Using a 4G router, we cannot acquire a LTE mobile data signal using a mobile 4G router at the NAK auditorium. You may need to move around the venue to locate a usable signal.
If 4G is absolutely necessary for the live streaming, our live streaming team can arrange for commercial 4G network access at additional cost. A site-recce will be necessary to determine the signal strength.
Our Conclusion on NAK Auditorium
As with many event venues and some hotels, they were built prior to the pandemic. And may not have been designed with having high speed Internet connection in mind. Or at least, not built with a LAN connection readily available.
