Social Media Videos For Corporate Communications In Singapore

Social media videos for corporate communications are short, professionally produced videos designed to communicate business information in a format that is easier to watch and share across digital channels. In Singapore’s corporate world, boardrooms may run on PowerPoint and excel spreadsheets, but brand conversations now happen on social media. They are the new language of corporate communications, blending professionalism with creativity to capture attention in seconds.

The right social media videos can turn information that would otherwise sit in an email, announcement, or internal document into something more immediate and visually understandable. This is where production quality matters. A corporate communication video still needs to feel like it belongs to the organisation, communicate its message clearly, and represent its people appropriately. At the same time, it needs to be edited for the way people actually consume social content.

At Vivid Media, we approach social media videos for corporate communications through a combination of corporate video production and creative video production. From interviews and leadership messages to event-based content, studio filming and short-form edits, the production can be planned around the communication objective.

What Are Social Media Videos For Corporate Communications

Social media videos for corporate communications are video assets created to communicate business information, company messages, people, initiatives or organisational stories through social and digital channels.

Unlike a conventional corporate profile video, these videos are usually more focused, with each video having one clear communication purpose. That could be introducing a new initiative, highlighting an employee story, explaining a company programme, or showing what happened at an important corporate event. That being said, the format of the video can vary significantly. A video could be a 30-second vertical interview clip, or a behind-the-scenes video from a company event, or a longer interview that is subsequently edited into several social media assets.

Social media videos for corporate communications can be particularly useful when the communication needs to be human, visual or easily understood at a glance. They also give a single corporate communication project a longer content life. One filming session could produce a primary video alongside shorter interview clips, quotes, cutdowns and social-ready versions. That makes video production useful not only for publishing one finished video, but also for building a bank of communication assets from a single production.

Strategic Messaging Behind Corporate Communication Videos

Behind-the-scenes of a professional corporate communications interview.

Beyond format, corporate communications carry a level of responsibility that typical social content doesn’t. Every word a company leader says on camera and every frame that reflects the brand’s tone shapes trust and reputation in ways casual posts can’t.

Executive positioning.
When executives appear on camera, the goal is footage that feels authentic and approachable rather than stiff or over-rehearsed. This comes down to how the interview is directed on the day like the questions being asked and giving the speaker enough structure to stay natural rather than reciting lines.

Brand voice consistency.
Corporate communication videos need to stay recognisably “on brand” across platforms. Working from an organisation’s existing tone-of-voice and visual guidelines helps keep this consistent from one production to the next.

Working within compliance boundaries.
Our team regularly handles productions for both corporate and public sector organisations, where compliance, confidentiality, and accuracy are paramount. We understand the nuances of regulated messaging and visual storytelling. You can explore more in our articles on public sector videography and financial institutions storytelling and video production, where we showcase how thoughtful scripting and creative direction help organisations communicate responsibly while maintaining authenticity and impact.

Turnaround when timing matters.
Not every corporate communication can wait for a long production schedule. Vivid Media’s typical turnaround time for video editing is 7 to 10 working days for the first draft, and around 3 to 5 working days for subsequent revisions. Depending on our production schedule, this timeline may be shortened when possible. We also accommodate urgent or time-sensitive edits, so if you have a special request, do speak with our producers to explore available options.

Types Of Social Media Videos For Corporate Communications

Leadership and Executive Messages

Leadership videos are one of the most direct applications of social media videos for corporate communications. Instead of communicating an important message entirely through text, an organisation can have its CEO, director or senior leader address employees, clients or stakeholders directly. These videos can be used for company announcements, leadership updates, organisational milestones, new initiatives, year-end messages, company celebrations, internal communication campaigns, and statements accompanying major corporate developments.

Vivid Media’s in-house studio space for video production.

For a more polished result, leadership messages can be filmed in a controlled studio environment with appropriate lighting, audio and framing. Our studio space at Kallang Place is designed exactly for a quiet, distraction-free setting where clients can speak comfortably. The space can be customised to suit your visual style, with a clean backdrop, professional lighting, and teleprompter support if needed. This setup works well for more structured messages.

Narrative and Storytelling-Led Videos

Not every corporate message is best delivered as a straightforward statement to camera. Some objectives, such as a company’s values, a milestone, or a broader brand story, land better when they’re expressed through narrative rather than a direct address. This approach frames the corporate objective as a story with a beginning, a turning point and a resolution, weaving in visuals, pacing and music to build an emotional arc alongside the factual message. Rather than simply telling the audience what the company has achieved, a narrative-led video shows it, connecting with viewers through both logic and feeling.

This was the approach behind one of our recent projects with Raffles, where the corporate message was expressed through storytelling rather than a conventional announcement format, allowing the video to connect with its audience on a more emotional level while still communicating the organisation’s key objectives clearly.

Narrative-led videos tend to work well for brand campaigns, milestone celebrations, culture and values pieces, or any communication where the organisation wants the audience to feel something, not just understand something. They typically require more planning at the concept stage, since the story needs to be worked out before filming begins, but the payoff is a video that holds attention for longer and is more likely to be shared.

Employee Stories and Interviews

Employee-led content can make corporate communications more relatable without turning the video into a conventional advertisement. An employee could discuss their role, share their experience working on a project, or describe an aspect of the organisation that is difficult to communicate through written content. These interviews can then be edited into both longer-form videos and shorter social media clips. The production team can concentrate on the framing, lighting, audio, direction and follow-up questions to create footage that is actually usable in the final edit.

Company Updates and Corporate Announcements

Some company updates are better communicated visually. A major project, partnership, company milestone or organisational initiative can be presented through a short video that combines interviews, supporting footage, graphics and relevant visuals.

For social media videos for corporate communications, keeping the message focused is important. Rather than trying to explain every detail in one video, the production can identify the central message and use the visuals to support it. In some industries, a 3-minute video may actually be too long for how audiences consume social content. Instead of one long-form piece, the same footage can be split into five or six shorter 30-second segments, each focused on a single point or takeaway. This format is often better suited to how people scroll through social media, and it also creates opportunities to produce multiple pieces of content from one announcement, such as a main announcement video, short quotes or soundbites, and vertical versions for social platforms. The above video is an example of a social media video we have produced, cut from a longer video production.

Employer Branding and People-Focused Content

Employer branding content sits naturally alongside corporate communications because it communicates what it is like to work within an organisation. Social media videos for corporate communications don’t necessarily require a large-scale production. A well-directed interview filmed with appropriate B-roll can provide enough material for several short-form videos, whether that’s a more casual, day-in-the-life style clip or a larger production combining interviews, workplace footage and more cinematic creative elements.

At Vivid Media, we also produce employer branding video production projects that help companies communicate their culture and values authentically. These videos highlight real employee experiences and workplace stories, giving audiences a genuine sense of what the organisation stands for. You can explore more in our article on employer branding video production, where we showcase how storytelling strengthens recruitment and internal engagement.

Event-Based Social Media Videos

Corporate events create a concentrated source of visual material that can be repurposed into social media videos for corporate communications. Short speaker clips, key quotes, and atmosphere‑focused social content can be shared during or immediately after the event. Afterwards, the same footage can be repurposed into a full event highlight video, leadership soundbites, participant interviews, recap videos, and short‑form social cutdowns. This creates a steady stream of content that extends the event’s impact long after it ends. Vivid Media provides event photography and videography alongside its video production services, allowing event footage to be considered as part of a wider content requirement rather than as an isolated deliverable. For events where content needs to be published on the same day, Vivid Media also offers same-day editing capabilities, allowing selected footage to be turned around while the event is still taking place.

Explainer and Communication Videos

Some corporate messages are difficult to communicate through a single announcement. This is where explainer-style social media videos for corporate communications can be useful. Let’s say when a company needs to communicate a change or help audiences understand a product or service. This also extends to distilling denser material, such as an annual report or an ESG update, into a short, watchable clip.

The video does not need to become an elaborate animation project. Depending on the subject, it could combine a presenter or interview with screen visuals, motion graphics, supporting footage and clear on-screen text. If the information can be communicated effectively through a person speaking directly to the camera, there is little reason to overcomplicate it. If the audience needs to see a process, interface or concept, visual elements can be incorporated into the edit. You can read more at our article here on explainer video production for MNCs.

Series-Based Social Content

One of the more effective ways to approach social media videos for corporate communications is to think in terms of a series rather than isolated videos. A company could establish a recurring format such as “Meet the Team”, “Inside the Company”, “Leadership Q&A”, “Project Spotlight”, “60 Seconds With…”, or “Behind the Scenes”.

A consistent filming setup can make subsequent episodes easier to produce while giving the organisation a recognisable visual format. It also supports a more efficient, retainer-style way of working like regular, batch-filmed content instead of a single, expensive brand film every time. Vivid Media’s Singapore studio is suited to corporate filming such as interviews, fireside chats, speeches and communication videos, providing a controlled environment for repeatable content formats.

Insights From The Vivid Media Team

How do you approach directing people who are not used to appearing in social media videos for corporate communications?

Danielle Vergara, Director: “Most people are not naturally comfortable in front of a camera, especially when they know the video represents their company. I try to make the filming environment feel more like a conversation rather than a formal interview. Before we start, I’ll usually explain what we’re trying to achieve, what kind of answers we’re looking for, and reassure them that they don’t have to get everything perfect in one take. If they pause or phrase something differently, we can always work with that in the edit. Giving them some context and direction beforehand usually helps them become more relaxed once the camera starts rolling.”

How do you make corporate communication videos feel natural without losing the professional look a company needs?

Danielle Vergara, Director: “I think the balance comes from the way we direct and present the people, rather than trying to make everything overly polished. You of course still want the lighting, audio, framing and overall production to look professional, but the person speaking should still sound like themselves. Sometimes the small pauses or a particular way someone phrases something can actually make the video feel more genuine. Our job is to make sure those natural moments work within the overall structure of the video, rather than removing everything that makes the person sound human.”

How can one corporate video shoot be planned to produce more than one piece of social media content?

Danielle Vergara, Director: “I think that comes down to planning the shoot properly from the beginning. If the client knows they need a main video as well as shorter social media content, we can structure the interview, filming setup and supporting footage around those different deliverables. We might capture a longer conversation, additional cutaway shots, different framing or specific moments that can work independently. That gives the editor more options later instead of trying to force one finished video into several different formats.”

From a director’s perspective, what makes a social media video worth watching?

Danielle Vergara, Director: “For social media, it doesn’t necessarily have to be something that is worth watching from start to finish, but it does need to be engaging from the beginning. You have to capture someone’s attention within the first few seconds, otherwise they are probably going to scroll past it. With long-form content, there needs to be more of a payoff. The audience should either get something meaningful out of watching the video or feel some kind of connection and relatability with the person on screen. Even then, it still needs to stay engaging throughout.”

How To Plan A Social Media Video Production With Vivid Media
