Recently, our team had the exciting chance to work alongside CRAVE Nasi lemak in creating a short social media ad. The main goal was to showcase how their nasi lemak has remained a beloved choice among Singaporeans as they grow from kids to working adults. With careful planning, we efficiently completed the entire shoot in just one day. The ad captures the journey of our main character as he goes through various life stages, nasi lemak always by his side.

What started as an April Fools joke became reality when Jetstar began using Singlish for their flight announcements on their return trips to Singapore. 

We liked that Jetstar took a playful spin on an intangible aspect of our Singaporean culture – our Singlish – and turned it into something worth celebrating during National Day. This lighthearted joke turned Singlish, which is currently frowned upon when being used in a professional setting, into a cultural identity that welcomes Singaporeans home for the holiday.

In this corporate National Day video, PUB took the opportunity to celebrate the many reservoirs in Singapore, honouring them as the lifeblood of our water supply. By using watercolour to mark out the different reservoirs in our country, the result was a beautiful outline of Singapore and its major water bodies in blue. 

We noticed that this video made use of lower-thirds, which are text animations, to introduce the names of each reservoir. If needed, our in-house graphic designer can design unique lower-thirds and other graphics to complement your video needs.

For National Day last year, AsiaOne produced this lifestyle video to provide 5 fashion outfits for their viewers to try out during the holiday. In the spirit of National Day, all 5 outfits were in the red and white colours to complement our national flag.

Also filmed in 2020, this virtual music video by Safra brought together their Lil’ Stars talents and current Ministers to perform the famous NDP song We Will Get There. This video featured the current winners of the Lil’ Stars talent show held in July. 

Our best guess is that the vocal segment of this music video was filmed remotely before being pieced together to form the final video.

The National Day After was most likely a play of words on the phrase “The Morning After”, given that this National Day corporate video asks viewers how we can keep our Majulah spirit alive after a day of celebrating our nation’s birthday. 

We liked that this short film had a different take on exploring our Singaporean identity. Unlike most brands that rush to produce a film before National Day to join the holiday spirit, Singtel produced a film that was able to keep the National Day spirit long after the public holiday had ended. Singtel was able to continue the conversation.
