Hybrid Event & Green Screen Studio Setup at Marriott Tang
In light of limited physical attendance due to COVID restrictions, green screen setup were often used to create virtual environment. The live video are then streamed to online and physical audience within the hotel venue and around the world.
The huge green screen wall was setup within a ballroom. And with its vast dimensions, the green screen can accommodate more than 3 on-screen talents. Providing ample room for most hybrid and virtual events.
Flash photography would not have been ideal during the proceeding of a green screen live stream. Hence, it’s good to know that the subjects within the green screen are brightly & evenly lit, therefore photographer did not have to use a flash when shooting behind-the-scenes during the live stream at Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel.

Hybrid Event Photography at Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel
The live stream from the green screen room was projected live onto another ballroom via Zoom. Allowing the physical guests to view the video live stream. An advantage of using Zoom for live streaming is the immediacy – latency of about 1 second. Compared to most other live streaming platforms where 5-20 seconds latency is considered the norm.
This setup using Zoom Webinar is also a cost-effective way to allow remote presenters from other locations to be featured at a hybrid event. The remote presenters can be located at home, office or a professional green screen studio.
While the live streaming of this event is not produced by our team. We regularly deliver virtual and small-scale hybrid events for clients in the corporate and government sector. And our preferred live production workflow is using vMix software. vMix allows us to deliver higher production value with customised graphics.
